La Maddalena is the largest islet off the north-eastern coast of Sardinia. Renowned for its crystal-clear waters — with temperatures ranging between 25 and 30°C — and its spectacular scenery, it is a must-visit destination for scuba diving enthusiasts in Sardinia. Beneath these translucent waters, you may encounter grouper, schools of salema, barracuda, nudibranchs, octopuses, and much more! Why not go and meet them on an introductory dive in La Maddalena? No prior experience is required — all you need is to be able to swim.
This introductory diving experience from Cannigione begins at the AREAMARE dive centre. There, you'll meet a team of PADI-certified professionals ready to share their passion for the underwater world with patience and expertise. To start with, they'll introduce you to their up-to-date diving equipment and explain how to use it. You'll then travel by boat to the La Maddalena Marine Nature Reserve in a small group of no more than 8 participants and get ready to dive (with one instructor per participant during the immersion).
The session begins with a few training dives in shallow water, and once you feel comfortable, you'll be able to dive to a depth of up to 12 metres. In total, you'll spend approximately 20 minutes underwater, always guided by your experienced instructor who will be there to ensure your safety throughout. The time will fly by as you encounter one new sensation after another — weightlessness, the exploration of an unknown world, the discovery of species you've never seen before. This introductory dive in La Maddalena promises an unforgettable experience!
On your return to the base, you'll be able to freshen up with a shower before continuing your day in Sardinia in comfort. What are you waiting for? Book this introductory dive in La Maddalena without delay — it's sure to leave you wanting to dive again!
