Abandoned Mine Kayaking Excursion from Bled

• Early morning departure from Bled
  Meet your guide in Bled and hop aboard a comfortable minivan for a scenic 2-hour drive through the Slovenian countryside toward the underground kayaking site.
• Arrival and preparation (≈ 30 min)
  Get briefed on the adventure ahead by your expert guide. You’ll receive your drysuit, boots, helmet, gloves, life jacket, and headlamp, plus a safety and paddling introduction before entering the mine.
• Mining train descent (≈ 15 min)
  Board the original mining train and descend 600 metres underground, a thrilling way to start your underground journey.
• Underground hike (≈ 20–30 min one way)
  Walk through mine tunnels and descend an additional 95 metres on foot via steep stairs to reach the flooded mine chambers where the kayaks await.
• Black Hole Kayaking experience (≈ 1 hour)
  Paddle through narrow passages and silent galleries deep inside the mountain, guided only by the beam of your headlamp, a one-of-a-kind experience in complete darkness.
• Return hike and ascent (≈ 30–40 min)
  Climb back up the mine stairs and make your way to the surface after your underground adventure.
• Traditional miner’s snack & return transfer (≈ 2 hours drive back)
  Enjoy a well-deserved local snack before heading back to Bled by minivan.
• Tour ends in Bled
  Expect to return around 8 hours after departure, depending on your scheduled start time.

Participants must be at least 150 cm tall and must not exceed EU shoe size 47 to take part in this activity.

A minimum number of 6 participants is required for this activity.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

A physical copy of your ID or passport is required.

Being in good physical condition is required to take part in this activity.

You must not have any medical contraindications to take part in this activity.

This activity is not suitable for people with heart conditions, back problems or serious medical issues.

This activity is not recommended for pregnant women.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the departure time.

This activity operates in all weather conditions; no refunds will be issued for weather or personal reasons.

Participants arriving more than 10 minutes late will not be accommodated or refunded.

The underground temperature remains around 10°C, please dress warmly.

Please bring a change of clothes in case you get wet during the tour.

If you are prone to motion sickness, take precautions before the tour (mountain roads are part of the route).

Pets are not allowed on this tour.

This activity involves climbing steep stairs and walking on uneven terrain.

Hotel pick-up and drop-off are available within Bled town only. Guests staying outside Bled must meet at pr1motours.com, Ljubljanska cesta 20, 4260 Bled, Slovenia.

There is no parking available at the meeting point, please plan accordingly.
