44 kilometers north of Biarritz, Moliets et Maa boasts beautiful uncrowded golden beaches. Just aside the Courant d’Huchet Natural Reserve and its 617 hectares of pure unspoiled forest, Moliets et Mass has quickly become popular spot for authentic-close-to-nature surfers and family holidaymakers.

The outstanding Chênes Lièges beach is almost 5 kilometers long and is easily accessible from the town’s main accommodations sites. There, surfers can ride the tide, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The waves there vary between 1 and 2.5 meters, attracting surfers from all over the globe. The powerful winds blowing offshore and its many stable sandbanks create the perfect waves for surfing. During summer, kitesurfers arrive to benefit from the thermal winds with speeds of up to 20 knots. It’s common to see kites fly over the turquoise waters of Moilets during the afternoon since that's when the wind is at its best. Powerful winds and amazing waves will surely get you pumped!

Moliets et Mass is located in the Landes region of Aquitaine and is surrounded by a charming pine forest, the biggest in all Europe! More than 2780 hectares of woods in the whole of Moliets commune seduce nature lovers who are able to hike in complete freedom. The best itinerary is without a doubt a circuit that connects the Pichelèbe Bridge to the Courant de Huchet, and then to the gorge of Etang de Leon. Also, the Etang de Moliets and the Etang de Laprade (two inland lakes) are popular hiking and mountain biking trails, where you will bathe in the warm sunshine that glimpses through the leaves.

Mountain bikers can enjoy the sound of the birds chirping harmoniously with the sound of wheels spinning at full speed. Multiple biking trails leave from the town center; a 50 kilometer ride will take you from Moliets et Mass center to the Etang de Soustons, passing by the Marin de Port d’Albret Lake.
