What are the activities to do in Les Orres?
Les Orres is a French commune in the Haute-Alpes department. It is mainly known for its 2 ski resorts; Les Orres – Centre Station found at an altitude of 1,650 metres, and Les Orres – Bois Méan found at an altitude of 1,800 metres.
All the facades of the resort are made out of wood, giving it an authentic and charming chalet look – a plus point for people looking to get away from the tall stone buildings often found in big cities.
The resorts have 37 groomed slopes for skiers of all levels, a snow-park, an ice skating rink and a sledge slope – ideal for families planning a winter break.
Les Orres is as popular in summer as it is in winter. Summer activities include mountain biking, hiking, swimming, horse riding and paragliding. Winter activities include skiing, snowboarding, sledging and ice skating.
The hikes and treks take place in the lush green forest of the area. 2 of the most popular hikes are La Voie des Sages and Sentier Lou Pastre – make sure you head out with an experienced and certified guide who will adapt the itinerary to your fitness level and requirements.
Les Orres is great for a break with your friends, family or even alone.
