It was great fun. We did it with our two sons. We took our own full face masks with us. This was good for small child, because he is not used to the normal snorkeling gear. Although it was a hot day, he felt very cold after being in the water, so I wish we had taken the neopren suit for him...

Speed boat tour outside Funchal. We were able to see both dolphins and whales at close distance. Specially the whales were fun as one dived under our small boat.

It was a nice trip with some small local whales and dolphins, we where lucky to se the dolphins hunting a school of fish. Do not expect to see the large humpback or orcas, we learned they are rear to find in this area.
