The peak season for kitesurfing, sea kayaking and hiking runs from April to October. Sand yachting can be enjoyed all year round on the wide beaches, depending on the low tide times.
Most activities, including sand yachting and coastal walking, are suitable for beginners with no previous experience. The instructors adapt the routes and equipment to suit each participant’s ability.
Technical equipment such as a wetsuit, helmet and lifejacket is provided in full by the operators. You will need to bring a swimsuit, a towel and closed-toe shoes suitable for wearing in the water.
Sessions involving sand yachting, coastal walking or an introduction to water sports usually last between 1 hour 30 minutes and 3 hours. Guided walks at the Deux-Caps site can last half a day.
Sand yachting requires the beach to be exposed at low tide, whilst water sports sessions depend on the water level and tidal coefficients. Session times are therefore adjusted daily in line with the tide table.
