Sea Explorers Azores

Sea Explorers Azores is a marine tour company founded in 2020 by Miguel Soares in Velas, on São Jorge Island, accounting for over 6 years of activity in the Azores archipelago.

The company specialises in whale watching and the observation of marine biodiversity throughout the central group of the Azorean islands. To ensure the scientific quality of each excursion and help identify the different marine animals, a marine biologist is present on board for every trip. Participants have access to the facilities at the Velas marina, which include restrooms before departure.

The company ensures high safety standards through certified guides who deliver a comprehensive safety briefing to all passengers before boarding. All necessary comfort and safety equipment is provided, including lifevests and waterproof jackets if needed. Standard insurance covers all participants during the activities.
