Activity requirements
This is a high-level activity, and being in good physical condition is required to take part in it. You should not suffer from heart problems, asthma, or vertigo if you want to participate.
Experience in trails with an accentuated slope is highly recommended.
All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
You cannot participate in this activity if you have gone diving less than 24 hours before it starts.
Special terms
The permits to Mount Pico get sold out very fast in the high season (end of May to mid September). An early booking is advised to better guarantee availability from the provider.
This activity is not recommended for pregnant or disabled people.
Please note that the duration and itinerary of the activity are weather-dependent.
Pets are not permitted to join in this activity.
In case you have a drone, you must register at the ANAC website (Portuguese Civil Aviation Authority) and inform your instructor that you'll be bringing it.
There will be a fee of 10€/each for damaged hiking poles.
