A glacial lake at an altitude of 1,885 metres, surrounded by the Valley of the Ten Peaks, Moraine Lake offers one of the most magical settings in the heart of Banff National Park. It is a must-see site next to Lake Louise, but since 2023, access has been regulated with a ban on private vehicles. So to avoid taking the public shuttle and make the most of your time there, why not treat yourself to a trip to Moraine Lake by minibus? Not only will you enjoy greater comfort in the Into the Wild Tour's vehicle, designed to accommodate a maximum of 12 passengers, but you will also be transferred directly from your accommodation in Banff or Canmore. Nothing could be better for a hassle-free getaway!
This excursion to Moraine Lake will allow you to spend 4 hours on site, in complete autonomy, so that you can enjoy the area as you wish. Whether you want to hike in the fresh air, take breathtaking photos or relax and enjoy a picnic in the most sublime surroundings, you will have plenty of time to fully discover the lake and its surroundings. What's more, before heading off, your guide will stop for a few moments at Morant's Curve viewpoint, a must-see on the Bow Valley Parkway, the scenic route between Banff and Lake Louise. All of which makes this organised outing to Moraine Lake so much more enjoyable than a self-organised outing, bearing in mind the shuttle timetable!
Open to all ages, this excursion to Moraine Lake from Banff and Canmore is not to be missed if you are looking for a peaceful getaway at the lake. Whether you are travelling alone, as a couple, with family or friends, you will share unforgettable moments in one of Alberta's most visited places!
