Surf Lessons in Famara Beach, Lanzarote

Playa de Famara is an iconic place on Lanzarote and because of its long, rock-free beach, it is the perfect place to learn to surf at any time of the year. The ocean in this part of the island has permanent waves, being perfect for both beginners and more advanced surfers.

The day will start around 9:30 am, you will head to Famara Beach. Throughout the day you will be accompanied by instructors with more than 20 years of experience, experts in surfing, and completely certified as lifeguards.

The School3S team will provide you with all the necessary materials: wetsuit, leash, and board. If you are just starting out, your instructors will give you a board suitable for learning, normally this will be a soft, longboard. If you are already experienced, they will provide you with a hard board to take your surfing to another level.

Once you've arrived in Famara, you will receive a theoretical class where you'll learn about the correct posture to take on the waves, the different techniques for choosing which wave to surf and you'll finish with a short warm-up to avoid any injuries.

Then, you'll go into the water with the instructors, where they'll help you catch your first waves. These certified instructors will be with you throughout the session, so you will be able to resolve all your doubts at any time and you will have the peace of mind of being accompanied by highly experienced instructors, with rescue qualifications, in case anything goes wrong.

You will enjoy the sea, the waves, and the knowledge of the expert team who will accompany you. All the instructors will be ready to answer any questions you may have and will be your support in the water so that you can get the most out of the class. In addition, the team will take pictures of you while you practice, so you can take home some great memories!
