Would you like to explore the most hidden corners of La Palma? In that case, we suggest a kayak excursion to Cueva Bonita, a geological cave located in Tijarafe, in the west of the island, which is only accessible by sea.

This cave of volcanic material and result of the erosion of the sea, was in the 18th century the refuge of many fishermen who hid from pirate attacks, as the fishermen were the only ones who knew of the existence of the two entrances to the cave. Now you can feel like one of them and explore the interior of this cave with your kayak and enjoy the incredible play of light inside!

The route starts in Porís de Candelaria, a magical fishing village of little white houses set inside a 50-metre high cave with crystal-clear waters. There you will be given an explanation of the activity and some basic notions of kayaking. Once you have your lifejacket, you will set off for Cueva Bonita! It is a walk of almost 1 km. When you arrive at the cave, you will have free time to enter, discover it, take photos and have a swim outside the cave. A guide will accompany you and will tell you all the secrets of the cave as well as answer any questions you may have. Finally, you will return to Porís de Candelaria.

Si te gusta el mar, las vistas de la costa y admiras los eventos geológicos, esta es sin duda tu actividad. Etramos en la cueva y nos pudimos bañar dentro. También nos acercamos a una piscina natural donde pudimos estar completamente solos y se podía hacer algun salto al mar de forma segura. La vuelta cuesta un poco más por el cansancio, pero sin duda vale la pena el esfuerzo.
