This dog sledding excursion in Rovaniemi begins with a pick-up at the listed locations (please specify upon booking). There, you will meet your friendly and experienced guide who will drive you to the Bearhill Husky kennel. The experience will start as you gear up with a thermal suit, snow boots, and mittens. Next, you'll meet the adorable huskies and receive a safety briefing and dog sled driving lesson. Each sled will be shared by 2 adults, with a team of 3-5 huskies to pull it over the snow.

Once the sled is all set up, you will set off into the taiga forest surrounding the kennels. The dogs will pull your sled through the remote trails just north of Rovaniemi and the Arctic Circle! Enjoy the silence of this secluded location as you mush your own dog team. You will ride for approximately 30 - 40 km during the tour. Midway through, you will take a break and be able to switch drivers. Hot drinks and a delicious lunch will be served, either around a campfire in the remote landscapes of the taiga forest or back at the kennel in a fire-heated tent, depending on the day's weather conditions. Your instructor will share insights about the history of the region as you enjoy the food. Wir waren vollkommen zufrieden und hatten großen Spaß: Die Guides waren toll, die Hunde sehr süß und gut ausgebildet und das Essen in der Wildnis lecker. Man muss sich keine Gedanken über die Sicherheit machen, da eine ausführliche Einweisung gegeben und jederzeit auf das Wohlbefinden geachtet wird. Die Organisation des Programms war ausgesprochen gut und alle Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und offen. Man hat das Gefühl, dass sich dort liebevoll um die Hunde gekümmert wird. Es war ein rundum hervorragendes Erlebnis, das wir definitiv empfehlen können!
