Around midway through the excursion, you'll take a break at a forest shelter and sit around an open fire to share some light snacks and hot drinks with your instructor to regain your strength. If the Northern Lights or the stars are out, your instructor will help you to take some great pictures before returning to the original meeting point for the end of the experience.

Keep in mind that the Arctic and Finnish Lapland can have temperatures that range from 5 to -30 degrees Celsius, so you should come prepared for the freezing temperatures. Your instructor offers winter overall rentals, but you should still bring wind and waterproof outerwear, thermal or wool underlayers, extra middle layers, gloves, snow boots, a hat, a scarf, and anything else you might need to spend around 3.5 hours backcountry skiing across Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park at night!
