About the activity

Tahiti Iti, also known as Little Tahiti, is the eastern part of the island of Tahiti. Wild and full of secluded spots only accessible by boat, it is home to stunning natural sites well worth exploring! Fenua Aihere, the Vaiau River, Te Pari, and more. And what better way to discover them than on a boat excursion in Tahiti Iti, accompanied by local guides who will introduce you to these sites perfectly? Departing from the marina at Teahupoo, close to the famous wave of the same name, you can choose either a half-day boat tour (around 3.5 hours) or a full-day tour (approximately 7 hours). It is also possible to privatise the trip by selecting the “Private Charter” option!

Whichever excursion you choose, you will have the pleasure of discovering not only the legendary Teahupoo Wave, but also Fenua Aihere, an off-the-beaten-track area in the north-east of Tahiti Iti, only accessible on foot or by boat and renowned for its natural sites. The stop is located at the end of the Vaiau River, with access to the Vaipoiri Cave! This spot is reached after a 10 to 15-minute jungle hike and is an ideal place to swim and relax in a beautiful setting. A snorkelling stop will also be offered, under the supervision of the guide who will join you in the water, either at a sandbank or in the lagoon, depending on weather conditions. Prepare to admire a vibrant underwater world: tropical fish and coral will provide an unforgettable display of colours!

Conducted aboard a twin-hulled catamaran equipped for sun protection and comfortable seating, this excursion in Tahiti Iti and Teahupoo offers a chance to discover a lesser-known side of Tahiti in a small-group setting for a truly friendly experience. Whether with family, friends, or as a couple, don’t miss the opportunity to take part and enjoy an authentic adventure on the Taiarapu Peninsula!

Well balanced adventure and fun. Definitely took us to the places we would never be able to go by ourselves. The hike, the big surf, the cave, all amazing experiences.

Fantastic tour of Teahupo'o and Tāhiti Iti's lagoon. The activities were varied and fun and the lunch the best meal we had during our stay on Tāhiti Iti and Tāhiti Nui... Delicious!

It is easily the best tour I've joined. The coral cloud is SO BEAUTIFUL, the wave and walk in the jungle are surreal.
