Discover the hidden world beneath the surface with a caving adventure in Cirà Cave, near Montanejos and Castellón. Perfect for beginners, this underground experience takes you through stunning formations and gentle passages, with all equipment provided and photos included.

Course of events

Arrival at the meeting point.
Transfer by 4×4 to Cirà Cave in the village of Montán (approx. 20 min, 9 km). Along the way, your guide will share some background on the cave and its former mining history.
At the cave, receive your gear and get ready.
Enter the cave for exploration. Your instructor will guide you through various passages, explain the cave’s formations, and offer optional challenges in narrow sections ("gateras") for the more daring.
After the tour, return to Montanejos by vehicle (approx. 30 min). Equipment drop-off and access to changing rooms and showers if needed.
End of activity.

Are you curious to know what you can find inside the earth? Well then come and explore in Montanejos the depths of the cave of Cirá near Castellón!

The Cirá Cave is a cave with different rooms, beautiful formations such as stalactites, stalagmites, gours, lava flows, aragonites,... Its main floor is developed without great unevenness and we will hardly need the use of ropes.

You'll be fully equipped with headlamps and everything else you need to access the underground. During the activity, you'll be able to see the formations caused by water droplets through ages. This dimly lit world will test your coordination, balance and sense of direction.

This cave is ideal for beginners who want to get a taste of this mysterious activity, and pick up the basic and easy to learn techniques. You'll advance through the inside of the cave using ropes and handrails, making sure you have fun safely. Throughout your adventure, your instructor will take photographs that you will be able to download for free.
