Practical information

Duration: 4 hours (2 hours on water)

This activity is open to everyone (children 8+) that wants to have a rafting experience.

Course of events

10.00 AM - 11.00 AM: Transport
Once the contract has been signed and the outstanding amount has been paid, we will provide you with your personal equipment consisting of a full wetsuit, neoprene socks, hard-soled socks, waistcoat and helmet. You will be able to use the changing rooms and toilets. Once you are ready we will transfer you to the river in our vehicles. The journey by car is approximately 5′. Your belongings and dry clothes will be kept in the changing rooms. Upon arrival at the river, the Team Leader will meet you and accompany you to the start of the activity.

11.00 AM - 1.00 PM: Descent
Before entering the water, you will be given a mini-course on how to use the equipment and a safety talk by our Team Leader. We will enter the water in teams in rafts of up to 8/9 people and a short "training session" will take place before starting the descent of the rapids.

1.00 PM - 1.30 PM: Return to base.
Once the descent is finished, we will take you back to the base where you can return your equipment and change in the changing rooms. We have outdoor showers and a picnic waiting area. If you are hungry or thirsty, there is nothing better than booking a great meal in one of the restaurants or terraces of the village, ask us!

Activity requirements

All participants must be able to swim. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Not suffer from any illness or injury incompatible with the practice of this activity, especially those related to the heart, neck and back. It is the obligation of the participants to inform the organisation of any possible incompatibility, allergies or phobias. Not to be pregnant. Not to be allergic to neoprene.

The Mijares River carves a deep canyon known as the Estrecho de Chillapájaros in the Castellón town of Montanejos. This stretch is home to the most powerful commercial rapids in the Valencian Community.

The Mijares River is the only Class III river in the Valencian Community. Equipped with all the necessary material, you will descend the class III rapids, crossing and surfing the white water waves and enjoying all that they have prepared for you.

The descent in an inflatable raft will allow us to enjoy them in total safety with our qualified guides. "The Jungle", "El Patriarca", "El Cagarro", "Ejaculation" and "Slide" are the suggestive names of the best rapids of the section we will descend. We will take fun photos during the descent which you will be able to download for free from our RRSS.
