Course of events

Arrival, check-in and access to changing rooms (dry clothes can be stored on site)
Equipment handover
Transfer by vehicle to the river entry point (approx. 30 min)
Safety briefing and basic paddling techniques workshop
Guided descent of the Upper Mijares River, including class II rapids and natural scenery
- Depending on water flow: 2 short runs or one longer route to Arenós dam
End of descent and transfer back to Montanejos
Access to changing rooms, showers and return of equipment
End of activity

Activity requirements

Understanding of English or Spanish is required.

All participants must be able to swim.

The upper stretch of the Mijares river offers an initiation whitewater descent with several class II rapids. The surroundings of the Upper Mijares are of great beauty and natural value. We will enter the river at La Monzona, a village in Puebla de Arenoso and we will finish the descent at the tail end of the Arenoso reservoir.

Learn how to maneuver the kayak, cross the rapids and land on the shores. This is an excellent group activity that you can share with your family and friends. Depending on the flow, you will make two runs or a long descent with the kayak to the dam of Arenós.

The experienced guides will accompany you all the way down, helping you improve your techniques and movements. Throughout your adventure, your instructor will take photographs that you will be able to download for free.
