About the activity

On the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, Victoria Falls is a must-see on any trip to the region. Reaching heights of up to 108 metres and tumbling through an open fault into the Batoka Canyon, this succession of waterfalls is one of the most impressive in the world. And to enjoy this exceptional place in a unique way, did you know that you could go rafting on the Zambezi, in the heart of the Batoka Gorge at the foot of the falls? With rapids ranging from class 1 to 5, this part of the river is perfect for a white-water adventure at Victoria Falls, even as a family with children as young as 7!

Made up of local guides committed to preserving their culture and environment, the Try Rafting team invites you to raft down the Zambezi from Victoria Falls for around 4 hours. With lots of laughs, splashes and thrills, this is one of the most incredible experiences you will have on Africa's 4th longest river. You will be surrounded by some of the most magnificent scenery in the world, accompanied by informative commentary from your instructor, who will guide your raft for up to 8 participants (excluding the instructor). This will be a memorable adventure, carried out in complete safety thanks to the supervision of your guide and the safety equipment provided (helmet and life jacket).

As well as rafting down the Zambezi, you will have to walk not only down Batoka Gorge (about 30 minutes) to the river, but also back up at the end of the activity (30 to 40 minutes). And to round off the adventure in style, you will enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before your transfer back to Victoria Falls. So, what are you waiting for to take on the rapids of the Zambezi in a raft and spend some unforgettable moments in Victoria Falls?
