Chobe National Park safari excursion, from Victoria Falls

To start your Chobe National Park safari experience, you will be picked up from your Victoria Falls accommodation and transferred to the Zimbabwe border post where you will go through customs and immigration. After the necessary border formalities, you will then board open-topped 4x4 vehicles that will take you to the Botswana border. After completing the border crossing, it is time for your wild game viewing safari to truly begin!

The first part of the safari begins with a river cruise into the park, during which you will get to see a whole host of river animals including water birds, crocodiles, hippos. Chobe National Park is known for their scores of herbivores, such as buffalo and elephant, that make their way to the river bank to drink. You may even be able to catch elephants bathing in the water and hear their beautiful trumpeting! Puku and lechwe are often seen on the river islands and along the banks it is common to see kudus, impalas, and waterbucks! After lunch, it is time to head out on the game drive in Chobe National Park, where there are frequent lion sightings! Other animals you may be able to spot during the safari drive include cheetahs, rhino, leopard, antelope and more! From lion prides lounging in the sun to herds of elephants making their way through the park and buffalo drinking by the river – Chobe has so much biodiversity to be inspired by! At the end of the 3 hour game drive, you will be returned back to the border where you will go through the same crossings you did in the morning, to be dropped back off in Victoria Falls after your great big safari adventure!
