What to do in Pointe de La Torche
Pointe de La Torche: What to do when you get there?
La Torche is an area located in the south-eastern end of Audierne Bay, Finistère, it’s extremely beautiful due to its wild coasts that have been beaten by the strong northern winds.
It is these winds that have made it a hot spot for extreme sports, notably water activities such as surfing, bodyboarding, kitesurfing, windsurfing, waveskiing – this could take a while.
Scuba divers can visit a large variety of wrecks that can be found around La Pointe. One of the more famous among them is La Calliope, which can be found at a depth of 7 metres and is 39 metres long and nearly 10 metres wide with 32 canons on board.
Around La Pointe you’ll find a pedestrian’s path that provides exceptional panoramas of Audierne Bay. Many hikers are attracted to La Pointe so they can enjoy these spectacular views, especially between March and April, when La Pointe is covered in multi-coloured tulips – what a wonderful backdrop!
