The best outdoor activities in Les Gets, Portes du Soleil

Les Gets is a commune in the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. It is located on the col between Taninges and Morzine, on the western edge of the Portes du Soleil ski area.

The ski area mainly consists of beginner and intermediate level slopes – great for those of you looking to discover skiing. However, there are also some great spots for backcountry skiing and snowboarding for the more experienced snow sport enthusiasts.

To attract families, the resort has an area dedicated to children. Here you will find many features and activities for children of all ages, such as the weekly treasure hunts.

You will also find a snow-park on Mont Chéry that includes kickers, a spine, rails, boxes, a boarder cross and a large air bag.

In summer Les Gets is very popular with mountain bikers, as the resort holds a series of events. There are 2 dedicated bike runs on either side of the village that have been used in many competitions and championships: Mountain Bike World Cup and Mountain Bike World Championship, to name a few.
