Cross-country Skiing in Saariselkä

We had a fabulous day and enjoyed all 3 experiences- snowmobiling, ice fishing and cooking sausages over an open fire in a little hut on a snowy hillside.

Very nice activity through the Saariselka forests trails. We were lucky to have a powder day, so everything was covered in white :)

All went smmothly, perfect organization, friendly people (driver, instructors) and a great experiance.

Amazing ! The guide was great and shared a lot of information. Tea and biscuits around the real fire place after the activity was nice🥰

We were first equipped with overalls to make sure we weren’t going to be cold in sub zero temperatures. We were taken in a sleigh, pulled by a snowmobile onto a frozen lake from where we tried to catch the Northern lights that kept coming and going . It was amazing that we could stand on a frozen lake let alone be on it with a snowmobile and sleigh full of people. We then headed to a kota where, around a fire we had soup and sausages. It was a great atmosphere in there. Before leaving we were able to pet the two reindeers who live on the Aurora Island. It was great fun.
