Scuba diving in Moorea

Enjoy your first scuba diving experience in Moorea and discover the Polynesian aquatic world with the passionate team at Nemo'z Diving Center. This first dive in the Moorea lagoon is the ideal opportunity to explore the underwater fauna and flora in calm and safe conditions, accompanied by experienced instructors.

The activity begins at the diving centre, where you will be welcomed by your instructor. After receiving your full set of equipment (wetsuit, mask, fins, regulator, stabilising waistcoat), you'll have a safety briefing and a few theoretical explanations to familiarise you with the equipment and essential procedures. You will then board a shaded boat, equipped with seats but no toilets, to reach the Papetoai Aquarium, renowned for its turquoise waters and rich marine life. The crossing takes around ten minutes, giving you the chance to enjoy a beautiful view of the lagoon.

On site, your first dive will take place in ideal conditions: warm water around 28°C and average visibility of 20 metres depending on the day. The Papetoai Aquarium is a shallow spot, sheltered from the current, perfect for a confident introduction. You'll be accompanied in the water by a professional instructor, attentive to your comfort and safety throughout the dive. Each instructor supervises a maximum of two participants, guaranteeing personalised attention and a gentle introduction.

The dive lasts around 30 minutes, at a maximum depth of six metres. You'll be among a multitude of tropical fish and species emblematic of French Polynesia: clownfish, rays, barracudas, turtles... and sometimes even dolphins visible from the boat. There are no performance targets: the most important thing is to enjoy the moment, breathe underwater and admire the beauty of the reef.
