Visit the Blue Cave, one of the most popular attractions in the Bay of Kotor, on an exciting speedboat tour. Welcoming adventurers from ages 1 and up!

Kotor Bay is a picturesque bay located in Montenegro. The bay is home to several charming islands and islets, coastal towns, and stunning scenery. Kotor Bay also holds a lot of historical significance, it has been inhabited since ancient times and has served as an important trading and maritime centre throughout history.

To begin the boat tour, you’ll meet the experienced skipper at the starting point in Kotor. You’ll board the comfortable speedboat and the skipper will go through a quick safety briefing. Then, the adventure begins! The skipper will speed across the crystal-clear waters, heading towards the Blue Cave. Along the way, you’ll pass the famous Our Lady of the Rocks Island, and Porto Montenegro, a luxury marina and one of the Mediterranean's premier yachting destinations.

As you sail, you’ll have a panoramic view of Kotor’s coastline, passing the charming coastal towns of Perast and Herceg Novi. Before reaching the Blue Cave, you’ll have a brief stop near the entrances to abandoned submarine tunnels, which were built by the Yugoslav Army. The guide will share insights about the history of this area. You’ll also tour around Mamula Island. Mamula is known for its defensive fort, which was converted into a concentration camp notorious for brutal torture and cruelty to prisoners during World War II.

Then, you’ll arrive at the Blue Cave! The Blue Cave is renowned for its stunning blue colour, which is created by the sunlight entering through an underwater entrance and reflecting off the limestone floor of the cave. The light illuminates the water, giving it a mesmerising azure hue. You’ll enjoy some time swimming and snorkelling in the clear waters of the cave. Dive from the boat and swim underwater to discover the magic light of the cave!

On the return journey, you’ll visit Our Lady of the Rocks, a man-made island home to a 17th-century catholic church. The island is famous for its historical legend, where local fishermen witnessed the Virgin Mary and Child on a rock in the bay. After each successful fishing trip, sailors would drop stones in the water at the same spot, eventually creating an artificial island. You can visit the island’s museum, which showcases artefacts, paintings, and historical items related to the island's history and maritime heritage. Then, you’ll sail back to the starting point in Kotor.
