After a safety and itinerary briefing, you’ll set off on a scenic transfer to the Gargia Valley. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the historic 150-year-old Gargia Lodge, complete with captivating old photographs that bring its heritage to life.

Next, you'll receive your gear, which includes a thermal suit, boots, a balaclava, gloves, and a helmet. Then, you'll receive an introduction to snowmobiling and snowmobile driving techniques with an emphasis on safety and fun. Once everyone feels comfortable, your ice-fishing and snowmobiling excursion to Finnmarksvidda starts! Setting off into the snow-covered wilderness at high speeds towards the mountains of Bæskades in Finnmarksvidda, you'll feel a sense of exhilaration like none other, taking in the magnificent panorama as you go.

After you've arrived in Mostajàvri, you'll make a base camp and will be treated to a delicious hot lunch and a well-deserved break on animal pelts and around a crackling fire (please list any dietary restrictions when booking). Your instructor will then show you how to drill a hole in the ice as well as how to use the ice-fishing equipment and bait. Now it's time to try your luck and cast your line into the freezing waters in the hopes of catching trout or Arctic char. As you patiently wait for a fish to bite, you'll enjoy the tranquillity and silence of nature in Finnmarksvidda.

If you succeed, you'll reap the rewards by cooking the freshly caught fish over the open fire. In addition, you'll be treated to coffee, tea, and snacks before returning to the Gargia Lodge via snowmobile.
