If you're looking for an authentic activity in Tromsø, look no further. Come spend the day with the indigenous Sami people and discover the ancient lifestyle of Northern Norway. This evening tour offers excellent opportunities to experience the majestic Northern Lights lighting up the Arctic night sky!

You will meet your guides directly in Tromsø and embark on a 90-minute scenic-ride to the wilderness center in Camp Tamok. Take in the majestic sceneries as you make your way to the camp! Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your seasoned guide, and receive your thermal suit, boots, and gloves, ensuring comfort and warmth for your Sami experience and Reindeer Visit. Once everyone is set and ready, you will head out to the Sami Camp to meet your new furry friends! Here, you will have the opportunity to feed the friendly reindeers, as they are always happy to receive their favorite treats!

As Lapland is home to the indigenous Sami people, this excursion will teach you plenty about the ancient Sami culture. A Sami guide will accompany you and share some fascinating stories with you, surrounded by Finnmark’s breathtaking landscapes! With a little bit of luck, the Auroras will make their appearance and dance right above you.

Then, you will head back to Camp Tamok and sit around the open fire in a lávvu (indigenous Sámi tent) and enjoy a delicious warm meal, complemented with warm drinks. Take in the overall beauty of the camp and say your final goodbyes to these incredible creatures before you head back to Tromsø.

Excellent. It was amazing to see the reindeer up close. Our host was incredibly knowledgeable and it was awesome to hear his Sami stories about life there.

The activity was as what was described. We had a fabulous time being introduced to the reindeers, riding on the sleigh and feeding them. We didn’t get to see the Northern lights as the weather was not permitting. After the activity we were given the most delicious soup. People were extremely warm, welcoming and helpful.
