Practical information
Discover scuba diving from Creiro beach on your first dive with your dedicated instructor. Allow a total of 2 hours for this activity.
- Supervision by CMAS/SSI-certified instructors and full professional equipment provided.
- Guided exploration of the Luiz Saldanha Marine Park, a marine sanctuary home to over 1,000 species.
- Return by speedboat and snack including water and energy bars.
Course of events
Please allow 2 hours for the whole experience.
- Welcome at the dive centre and meeting with the instructors (15 minutes)
- Safety briefing, presentation of equipment and communication signs (20 minutes)
- Complete equipment with 5-7mm wetsuit, booties, BCD waistcoat and regulator
- Adaptation session to practise breathing and buoyancy in shallow water (20 minutes)
- Guided dive to discover the flora and fauna of the marine park (45 minutes)
- Return to departure point by speedboat
- Access to showers, toilets and secure lockers
- Debriefing the experience and handing over the equipment
Activity requirements
You need to be able to swim to take part in this activity.
To take part in this activity, you must not have any of the following contraindications: respiratory problems (exertional asthma), heart problems, ENT problems, lung problems, diabetes or epilepsy. If in doubt, don't hesitate to contact us or consult a doctor.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult or show parental authorisation to take part.
Please inform the instructor in the e-mail following your booking if you have any serious health problems.
A minimum of 2 participants is required for the activity to take place.
Special terms
This activity is not recommended for pregnant women or people with heart or back problems.
The activity is subject to the completion of a medical questionnaire on site.
The duration and itinerary of this activity depend on the weather.
A return transfer service from Lisbon for 2 to 8 passengers can be arranged for an additional €30 per person.
Pets are not allowed.

Live the amazing experience of a discover scuba diving in Lisbon coast. The friendly and highly-qualified team of Wind will guide you through your scuba-diving initiation! And what better place to try scuba diving than at the gorgeous Creiro beach in Professor Luiz Saldanha Marine Park!
Located about 50 km south from the Portuguese capital of Lisbon, the Marine Park is the home to a big amount of different species. In fact, you will have the opportunity to dive with more than 1000 species, some of which you can hardly find anywhere else!
The Wind instructors will teach you all the scuba diving techniques in Praia Do Creiro in a theorical class and then it will be the moment to pratice in the sea! This discover scuba diving consists of two dives: dive adaptation, up to 1.5m deep, followed by a dive trip up to 5m deep. Always accompanied by a certified divemaster/instructor, this is the best way to experience the underwater world.

It is very fun especially if you dive for the first time. You should definitely do this if you want to discover something new! The instructors are very friendly and they know what they are doing. Sadly the water wasnt that clear but we still could see many fishes and other sea animals. All in all a very nice activity for anyone who likes water and fun :)
