Canyoning in the Artigue canyon from Vicdessos, Ariège

Discover sport canyoning in the Artigue canyon from Vicdessos, in the heart of the Ariege Pyrenees Regional Nature Park! The jewel in the valley's crown, the Artigue canyon is a must for thrill-seekers and lovers of spectacular scenery: emerald pools of water, flamboyant schistose rocks and, as a backdrop, the majestic peaks of the Ariège, peaking at over 3,000 m.

Ici et Ailleurs takes you on a full day of adventure on the water. After a friendly welcome at the base with coffee and amenities, you will meet your instructor, collect your equipment (Adidas shoes, wetsuit, harness, descender...) and receive a safety briefing. Transport to the start of the canyon is provided (mini-bus or car pool depending on the group), before you begin a magnificent approach walk of around an hour in a wild and unspoilt setting.

Then it's on to an intense 4-5 hour descent through the heart of the Artigue canyon: natural slides, vertical abseils, a zip line, swimming in crystal-clear water, and jumping for the willing! A well-deserved picnic break by the water will give you a chance to recharge your batteries. Once the activity is over, a return walk of around 30 minutes awaits you, with a warm debriefing over a beer or a dry drink at the base.

This outing is open to anyone aged 14 and over, provided they can swim and are physically active. You'll need to bring a swimming costume, a towel and a change of underwear.
