Ici et Ailleurs invites you to explore this wild canyon during a half-day canyoning excursion that’s accessible yet packed with thrills. Upon arrival at our canyon base in Vicdessos, you’ll meet your guide who’ll equip you with top-quality gear (Adidas shoes, wetsuit, harness, helmet, descender) and give you a safety briefing including canyoning techniques.

Transportation is provided by minibus or carpool to the start of the activity. A 30-minute shaded approach walk leads you to the canyon’s entrance, where the aquatic adventure begins: around 2 hours of descent through a cool, steep gorge with natural slides, waterfall abseils, a zip line, swimming sections, and optional jumps. It’s a paradise for canyoning enthusiasts seeking nature and water thrills in a pristine, low-traffic setting.

After a short 15-minute walk back, you’ll return to the base and enjoy a friendly moment with your guide over a cold drink or beer. You’ll even receive photos of your adventure to relive the experience.

Canyoning in the Escales Canyon is open to participants aged 12 and up, provided they are comfortable in water, physically fit, and ready for a refreshing and active half-day in the heart of Ariège. Don’t forget your swimsuit, towel, and change of clothes!
