Discover the Clue de Saint Auban canyon and enjoy a safe experience with an expert canyoning instructor.
- A challenging course, but accessible to beginners
- Waterfalls up to 12 metres high
- Jumps of around 6 metres (3-metre jumps are compulsory)
- Swimming in natural pools and the river
- Abseiling over waterfalls of less than 20 metres and zip-line descent
Course of events
Please allow 4 hours in total for this activity.
- Arrival at the meeting point.
- Meeting with your guide and distribution of equipment.
- Approach walk to the starting point of the La Clue canyon, then start of the canyoning trip.
- Return to the meeting point along the return path.
- Return of equipment.
- End of the activity.
Activity requirements
You must be able to swim at least 50 metres and be able to immerse yourself in the water to take part in this activity.
It is preferable to have some previous experience of canyoning or to be sporty.
3-metre jumps are compulsory to ensure that the activity runs smoothly. Other jumps can be avoided by abseiling down or going around the obstacle.
Special terms
This activity is not recommended for people suffering from vertigo or knee/ankle problems.
How to get to Saint-Auban: From Castellane, head towards Grasse via the RN85. Drive for around 10km, then turn left onto the D452 towards La Batie / Peyroules. Go past the village of Peyroules for around 2km, then at the junction with the D2211 turn left towards La Foux Saint Auban. At the entrance to Saint-Auban, cross the Estéron river and continue on the D2211 for 1km. Your guide, Mickaël, will be waiting for you at the meeting point, in the car park on the right above the "Clue du Saint-Auban".
