Course of events
Please allow 8 hours on site for the entire experience.
- Meet your guide at the Chalet de la Maline, get to know the rest of the group, have your booking checked and receive an introduction to the day's adventure (15 minutes).
- Collect your technical equipment, including your packraft, paddle, lifejacket, helmet and wetsuit.
- Attend a full briefing covering packraft handling, the day's itinerary and essential safety instructions (15 minutes).
- Hike through the canyon to reach the launch point (30 to 45 minutes).
- Learn how to inflate your packraft and familiarise yourself with the craft on the water before setting off (15 minutes).
- Paddle through the turquoise waters of the Verdon Gorge, alternating between gentle sections and rapids while receiving technical guidance from your instructor. Stop for a picnic break by the water's edge (around 4 hours).
- Finish the descent, leave the water, deflate your packraft completely and pack away the equipment (15 minutes).
- Hike back up to the Chalet de la Maline, gaining approximately 400 metres in elevation (1 to 1½ hours).
- Return to the starting point, share final moments with the Blue Secret team, receive your souvenir photos and conclude the experience.

Closed-toe shoes must be worn for this activity.
