Your course will be done in the lagoon or in the ocean in Tahiti, under the direct supervision of a PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) qualified dive instructor. You'll learn in an area of 1 to 20 meters depth.

The PADI's learning process allows you to progress in a fun way at your own pace and offers more experience than Level 1 of the French diving school.

You will learn how to use and look after your diving equipment, to plan and do your dives, and to anticipate and manage problems.

The training is based on 3 main phases:
· Development of theoretical knowledge (online, studying by yourself in class or at home) to understand the basic principles of underwater scuba diving.
· Dive in a protected environment such as a diving pool to learn the basic techniques of underwater diving
· Dive in a natural environment in order to practice the skills that you have learnt (in a diving pool) and explore the subaquatic world

Possible dive sites

L'Aquarium :
Ideal for training dives in shallow waters, this spot is scattered with little coral boulders on a sandy bottom. You will be able to find all the typical lagoon fish such as damsel, parrot fish, clown fish, surgeon fish, Spotfin croaker, cowfish, etc.

La Vallée des Ames :
"La Vallée des Ames" starts from the barrier reef and stretches all the way to the channel. The sandy slope goes down to 20 meters. This shallow area is filled with little coral formations where you can find clown fish, parrot fish, and blue damselfish.
