Open to certified divers (minimum Open Water / Level 1), guided adventure dives will allow you to discover the rich fauna and flora of the Natural Marine Reserve of Reunion Island with a guide who knows all the scuba diving spots not to be missed around Saint-Leu. Depending on your level and your desires, but also on the weather, you will be able to explore a multitude of sites between the Hermitage pass and La Pointe au Sel, offering environments as different as each other: coral flats, 80-metre drop-offs, wrecks, caves, tunnels, drifting, etc.
In addition to these exceptional reliefs, you will have, depending on the season, the possibility to meet all the species living in the coral reef: tropical fish, corals, anemones, tuna, barracudas, eagle rays and stingrays, but also turtles, dolphins and even humpback whales in season if you are lucky! All dive sites are located within a 30-minute boat ride from the port of Saint-Leu. The water stays a comfortable 24~29°C year-round, with visibility ranging from 10 to 30 meters, and up to 40 meters during the winter months.
Open Water / Level 1 / PE20 minimum
- Passe de l'Ermitage – 0 to 25 meters deep, a must-visit dive site in Reunion Island
- 3 Bassins – 6 to 30 meters deep, frequently visited by turtles, eagle rays, and stingrays
- Les 2 Arches – 0 to 25 meters deep, a coral reef site featuring 2 arches, as its name suggests
- Jardin des Kiosques – 0 to 35 meters deep, alternating between coral and sand (ravines), with numerous crevices and faults
- Boxy's Canyon – 6 to 35 meters deep, a small wall up to 20 meters deep, and further along another wall descending to 60 meters, suitable for more experienced divers
Level 2 / PE40 minimum
- Pointe au Sel – 25 to 60 meters deep, THE deep dive in Reunion Island, a wall plunging down to 71 meters
- L'Antonio Lorenzo – 32 to 40 meters deep, a wreck destined to become an artificial reef
- L’arche de Noël - 0 to 45 metres deep, an arch about 10 meters in diameter, in a relief full of peaks and plateaus
And if you are a certified diver able to dive without a dive master, don't hesitate to do an autonomous exploration dive with your own equipment!
