A 1-hour guided snorkelling excursion in Saint-Leu Bay, on the coral reef behind the lagoon (2 to 10 metres deep).
- Small group of no more than 8 participants
- Respectful approach to the environment: don't touch anything, don't move anything, don't disturb anything
- Swimming in the heart of Reunion Island's marine nature reserve, surrounded by a rich underwater fauna and flora (corals, anemones, surgeon fish, trumpet fish, moray eels, etc.)
Course of events
Please allow around 3.5 hours for the whole experience.
- Welcome at the Excelsus diving centre in Saint-Leu, 5 minutes before the start of the activity (free parking around the centre and in town)
- Allocation of materials and equipment in the centre's cabins
- Journey to the port of Saint-Leu in your own vehicle or in a car pool with other participants (approx. 5 minutes / 3 km)
- Boarding the boat
- Sailing to the snorkelling site (5 to 25 minutes depending on the site) with a briefing on the excursion and safety instructions
- Launching with the instructor from the boat's rear platform
- Departure for a 1-hour guided snorkelling excursion above the coral reef (2 to 10 metres deep)
- Back on board
- Sailing back to the port of Saint-Leu (5 to 25 minutes)
- Return journey by car to the dive centre
- Debriefing of the experience with your instructor and opportunity to shower and use the toilet at the end of the activity
Activity requirements
All participants must know how to swim to take part in this activity, but no previous snorkelling experience is required.
All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
A minimum of 4 participants is required to run this activity.
Please arrive 5 minutes before the start of the activity.
Special terms
⚠️ Decathlon full-face masks are not suitable for this activity: the team will provide you with the necessary equipment (mask and snorkel).
Pets are not permitted to join in this activity.
It is possible for accompanying persons who are not participating in the snorkelling excursion to board the boat, provided there are places available on board on the day of the activity.
