Grégory, a former train driver in the Paris region, turned to teaching diving when he took over the club in 2000 on Reunion Island, and more specifically in Saint-Leu. From snorkelling outings and cetacean watching to diving initiation and training courses, as well as guided and self-guided exploration dives, Excelsus has been offering everything you need to explore Reunion Island's Marine Nature Reserve since its creation in 1989!

The centre is fully equipped for your comfort, featuring a microwave, indoor and outdoor showers, 2 restrooms, a cosy lounge area with sofas, and outdoor terraces. The team works exclusively with MARES, their trusted diving equipment supplier, and operates 2 boats to take you out to sea:

  • Nourah – a 20-passenger catamaran, perfectly suited for scuba diving excursions;
  • Colibri – a fast 18-passenger rigid inflatable boat powered by a 300 hp engine, ideal for snorkelling trips and for more experienced divers.

He was very kind and he knew I didn’t know French so he would translate thing back to English, while in water he would still frequently check in on me and translate things in English nglish

Un rapide point sur l'équipement et hop à la mer. L'équipe est professionnelle et saura rassurer les plus nerveux. Mais le vrai plis c'est qu'ils sont sympa. Pour peu que vous soyez curieux, vous aurez pleins d'informations sur la faunes que vous croisez sous l'eau.
