Based in Saint-Leu on the west coast of Réunion Island, Excelsus Plongée invites you to discover one of the most stunning coral reefs in the Indian Ocean, located at the heart of a protected marine reserve. Open 7 days a week and welcoming guests from age 8, the centre combines professional instruction with a warm, eco-conscious approach to marine exploration.

Excelsus offers a wide range of activities led by certified instructors: guided snorkelling tours, introductory dives, daytime and night-time scuba dives, and certified training courses for all levels — up to dive leader certification. Specialised training includes marine biology, Nitrox diving, and refreshers for certified divers, with a focus on personalised guidance.

Small group outings (4 to 8 people) explore rich and varied sites between the Hermitage pass and La Pointe au Sel, including reefs, drop-offs, and shipwrecks teeming with tropical marine life. Nitrox is available at no extra cost, and all equipment is provided. Safety, pedagogy, and quality of service are at the heart of every experience.

He was very kind and he knew I didn’t know French so he would translate thing back to English, while in water he would still frequently check in on me and translate things in English nglish

Un rapide point sur l'équipement et hop à la mer. L'équipe est professionnelle et saura rassurer les plus nerveux. Mais le vrai plis c'est qu'ils sont sympa. Pour peu que vous soyez curieux, vous aurez pleins d'informations sur la faunes que vous croisez sous l'eau.
